 Purple mountains majesty...

Early morning feeding for the sheep and goats. Jack Decker the local sheep shearer will arrive tomorrow.

The vegetable garden is taking root and we have discover a busy farmer's solution to weed management: black tarp moved in rotation of the aisles!

Boatnik Parade

Downtown Grants Pass is all dressed up for the Memorial Day Week End. Today was the 53rd Annual Boatnik Parade and before that it was known as The Gladiola Festival Parade. It is put on by the Grants Pass Active Club and the purpose of the five day event is to support the local youth in the Rogue Valley. The money made from this event is returned to the children of Josephine County through 4-H Clubs, Boys and Girls Club, Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, Parks and Rec Department, High School Scholarships, and Athletic Clubs. The Boatnik Event lasts for five days and is considered the kick off to summer fun in the Rogue Valley. Here's to flags and flowers!

Happy Birthday, Aiden

Aiden has turned three now. He is the youngest of his siblings and such a sweet, smiling, happy little guy! He loves to run barefoot everywhere he goes, walk with the chickens, play on the tire swing, run through sprinklers and eat popsicles! We love you, Aiden!

Roses Everywhere

Spring rains have been very good to the roses. Epsom salt helps the blooms too. Now that most of our time is spent outside in this busy season, every bush we walk past has a different and beautiful fragrance. Take a deep breath, you are sure to smell them!
